I am currenty Professor for Politics of the European Union at the University of Salzburg. Until December 2020, I was a Research Associate leading a project about “Democracy in Lockdown: What Role for the European Parliament in the COVID-19 Crisis?” and Jean Monnet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. 2013-2021, I was Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Bamberg. Since 2019, I have been Visiting Professor at the College of Europe teaching a course on the European Parliament. My research focuses on European integration, EU institutions and EU migration and internal security policies. I hold a degree from Sciences Po Paris and the College of Europe in Bruges and obtained a PhD in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Sussex. I have previously worked at the Institute for European Integration Research in Vienna and the College of Europe.
