My research agenda stands at the intersection of politics and political economy and covers three thematic areas:
a) political economy with a focus on economic crisis and domestic policy reform
b) democracy and democratisation, and
c) the methodology of research in the social sciences, in particular, the use of historical research and qualitative methods in politics and political economy.
