Welcome to my website!
I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute. I study the effects of political regimes on the quality of schooling, focusing on student achievement and adult cognitive skills under distinct political systems. I am particularly interested in authoritarian regimes and autocrats’ incentives to improve public policy outcomes in general and education quality in particular.
I received a Master’s degree in Russian Politics and Society from King’s College London and a double Bachelor’s degree from Bard College (US) and Smolny College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Russia). Before coming to the EUI, I worked as a junior researcher at the European University at Saint Petersburg.
