Biography

    Welcome to my website!
I hold a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute. My research interests include political regimes, education, and political attitudes. My doctoral dissertation explores the effects of political regimes on school quality and learning outcomes at the cross-national level. It was awarded the 2024 Linz-Rokkan Prize for the best EUI doctoral thesis in Political Sociology.
Currently, I am a visiting fellow at the Cluster of Excellence „Contestations of the Liberal Script“ (SCRIPTS) based at Freie Universität Berlin. As a postdoctoral researcher under the ERC-funded project “MoveMeRU”, I investigate the intergenerational transmission of historical and political attitudes among families with and without a Russian background.
I received a Master’s degree in Russian Politics and Society from King’s College London and a double Bachelor’s degree from Bard College (US) and Smolny College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Russia). Before coming to the EUI, I worked as a junior researcher at the European University in Saint Petersburg.
