Biography

Welcome to my website!

I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute. I study the effects of political regimes on the quality of education, focusing on students’ learning outcomes and adult cognitive skills. I am particularly interested in authoritarian regimes, public goods provision, school quality, and indoctrination.

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the ERC funded MoveMeRU project based in Berlin.

I received a Master’s degree in Russian Politics and Society from King’s College London and a double Bachelor’s degree from Bard College (US) and Smolny College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Russia). Before coming to the EUI, I worked as a junior researcher at the European University at Saint Petersburg.
