Biography

I am a PhD researcher at the European University Institute, Department of Law.  My research investigates the enforcement of corporate sustainability obligations, in the framework of the European Sustainable Corporate Governance Initiative.  My study employs a comparative and multi-sited approach, combined with  empirical analysis, to explore how corporate law and governance may effectively contribute to the implementation of a sustainable business model.

I am currently coordinator of the Finance, Innovation and Business Regulation Working Group at the EUI and member of the scientific committee of the annual conference “The State of the Union”.

Before joining the EUI, I worked as a junior associate at the corporate M&A practice of Clifford Chance in Milan (2017-2021), specialising in private equity, real estate and corporate M&A advice for financial investors and corporate clients, mainly on cross-border transactions.

I hold a five-year combined bachelor/master degree in Law (with honours) from the University of Trento and a LLM in Comparative, European and International Law from the EUI.
