Biography

Giandomenico Piluso is currently Associate Professor in Economic History in the Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Siena, where he has been a lecturer since 2005.

He holds a doctorate in Economic History from Bocconi University, Milan, and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society of London.

He has been an adjunct professor of Economic History and Business History at Bocconi University, from 2000 to 2014, and at the University of Eastern Piedmont, Vercelli, from 2000 to 2003.

He has been a visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge in 2011 (King’s College) and the University of Oxford in 2015 (Nuffield College).

He has been the editor of Imprese e storia, the Italian business history review, from 1999 to 2012.
