I am researcher at the University of Edinburgh and the European University Institute, working on social and gender inequality in the family and the labour market.
I have recently defended my PhD thesis in Social and Political Science at the EUI in Florence, and I’ve just moved to the lovely city of Edinburgh.
Currently, I am involved in two research projects:
I am investigating the effects of the Covid-19 induced crisis between and within gender in the UK. The project is funded by the EUI (see more details here ).
I am also investigating social inequality in the creative and cultural industries in the Uk, working with a team of researchers at the Edinburgh College of Art.
I work predominantly with quantitative methods, and I am an affiliated member of the Research Training Centre at the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh.
In my Phd dissertation, I researched age differences between heterosexual partners from the perspective of gender relationships. Previously, I conducted research on family policy, sexist language and the link between gender ideology and family desire. I have tons of ideas for the future!
Before enrolling in the PhD program at the EUI, I studied Social Demography at Stockholm University and Sociology at the University of Bologna.
