I am researcher at the department of Social and Political Science at the European University
Institute, with a background in Social Demography (Stockholm University) and Sociology (Bologna University).
I am currently working under the supervision of Professor Fabrizio Bernardi, heading towards the end of the joyful experience of the PhD life, full of ideas for research projects to come.
During the first few years of my career, I studied the evolving gender revolution from different perspectives. I conducted research on family policy, sexist and non-sexist language, and the link between gender ideology and family desire. From this background, I progressed to my
current research in which I investigate age differences between partners in Europe from the perspective of gender relations and family dynamics.
Previously, I have been a visiting researcher at the New York University and the Vienna
Institute of Demography. Additionally, in the Spring of 2017 I was a visiting lecturer at the university of Bologna, the University of Florence and the James Madison University in Florence.
