I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of History and Civilization, working under the supervision of Professor Youssef Cassis. My research focuses on the foundations of venture capital markets in Europe after the Second World War and the changing concepts of science and innovation in a transnational context. In addition, I am interested in science and innovation policies and their development and history of technology. I expect to finish my dissertation in 2020.
Before starting at the EUI, I graduated from the University of Helsinki with a master’s degree in social sciences. In addition, I have been a visiting scholar at Columbia University and University College London.
I have had the opportunity engage in research in various fields during my academic and professional career. I have worked as a researcher for a mutual insurance company, market research companies, and the National Institute for Health and Welfare, to name a few.
