I am a political scientist and PhD researcher at the department of Political and Social Sciences of the European University Institute (EUI).
In my research project, I explore the role of trade unions in reforming modern welfare systems. Transformations in labour markets and contemporary political economies have triggered a deep reconfiguration of the welfare state. My research focuses on how labour organizations take stock of these changes and support policies that address the new social risks (e.g. poverty in early age, education gaps, labour market insecurity, in-work poverty, long-term unemployment, work-family reconciliation).
I hold a master’s degree in Public Policy at Sciences Po (Paris) and a BA in Political Science at the University of Bologna, with visiting periods at the University of California, Berkeley and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to coming to the EUI, I worked as a research fellow at the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan.
