Before joining the Ph.D. program of the European University Institute, I taught EU law, EU procedural law, and international law at the University of Lisbon. I coached the University of Lisbon’s European Law Moot Court team at the Athens regional final (2019) and was the Master of the Moot for the Lisbon regional final (2020). I also judged the European rounds of the Philip. C. Jessup International Law Moot Court.
I practised EU law, competition law and administrative law with a multinational law firm, where my work focussed on the energy, electronic communications, and retail sectors. I was also a legal intern to Advocate General Michal Bobek at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
I hold a LL.M. in Comparative, European and International Laws from the European University Institute, a LL.M. in European Law from the College of Europe, Bruges and a Licenciatura in Law from the University of Lisbon. I also completed Summer School programmes at the European University Institute, and at the London School of Economics and Political Science, on EU law, and on international relations.
I am admitted to the practice of law in Portugal. I am also a researcher at the Lisbon Public Law research centre, and a member of the Portuguese chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON•S).
I speak Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
