Sophie Duroy obtained her PhD in law at the European University Institute in November 2020, with a thesis entitled The Regulation of Intelligence Activities under International Law.
Since August 2019, she has been teaching French constitutional law at Sciences Po Paris (Reims campus).
During her PhD, she was a study visitor at the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency in Vienna, at the Freedoms and Justice Department (Sector for Information Society, Privacy and Data Protection) in September 2018.
Between September 2019 and June 2020, she was a visiting researcher at the Paris Centre for Human Rights (Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas).
Sophie Duroy is a LL.M. graduate (Cum Laude) in Public International Law from Leiden University and LL.B. graduate (Hons. 1st) in Law & French Law from the University of Essex and University of Paris West.
