Biography

I am a fourth-year PhD researcher in the Department of History and Civilisation supervised by Professor Federico Romero and Professor Corinna Unger. My doctoral research project: Bilateral Diplomacy, Anglo-German relations and the British applications to the EEC 1961-1973 focuses on the practice of diplomacy and visions of European Integration in relations between the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany during the British applications to enter the European Economic Community. My broader interests lie in the intersection of European Integration, the development of Anglo-German diplomatic relations and the Cold War.

I previously studied at the University of Sheffield (BA History, 2016, MA Historical Research, 2018) where I received the 2018 William Carr Prize for funded research in Germany.
