Dennis-Jonathan Mann holds a Philosophiae Doctor (PhD) and a Master of Research (MRes) degree from the European University Institute in the Political & Social Sciences and a Magister Artium (MA) degree from University of Bonn (Germany) in Political Science, Media Studies and Corporate Law. He also studied Political Science, Communication & Journalism and Spanish at University of New Mexico (USA) as well as Law at University of Cologne (Germany).

He has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Political Science Department at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (Germany) in 2012 and 2013. From 2008 to 2012, he was a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Political & Social Sciences at the EUI. He further has been a Global Visiting Scholar at New York University (Fall semester 2010).
