Sophie holds a PhD in Law (2026) from the European University Institute where she developed her research focus on international climate law. She acts as a pro bono legal advisor and external legal consultant in international climate law with Legal Response International.

Previously, Sophie has been a visiting fellow at the Department of Legal Studies at Bocconi University (2025-2026) and at Ewha Woman's University in Seoul (2024). Sophie has teaching and thesis supervision experience from the EUI, Bocconi, and the University of Arizona.

Sophie has further worked as a teaching and research collaborator at the Florence School of Banking and Finance (2024-2025), and as a trainee legal advisor at the European Parliament (2019-2020).
