I am a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute’s Robert Schuman Centre, where I explore the evolving dynamics of European fiscal and financial governance.

My work sits at the intersection of sociology and political science, drawing on interdisciplinary insights to analyze how European institutions respond to crises, from financial downturns to geopolitical tensions.

My research focuses on three key areas:

  • European off-balance sheet policies, debt indicators, and fiscal integration
  • Financial crises, shadow banking, and regulatory agency
  • Systemic risk, climate change, and the financialization of insurance

As responsibility for financial stability, fiscal sustainability, and economic recovery increasingly shifts to the European level, technocratic bodies and expert groups play a growing role in shaping governance. My work critically examines how political interests, technocratic influence, and technical expertise interact to shape European policy.

Through various projects on public finance, financial regulation, and governance, I aim to uncover the mechanisms driving these transformations. Beyond research, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive academic community.
